Brief overview of the role

To assist in the broadening our curriculum provision by providing a place where students who need to be removed from mainstream education for a short period can continue to receive a quality education. Working within a designated support team, the role will provide a key teaching assistant role to students of varying secondary school age. This role will be supported by the Teaching Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship qualification.

Main duties:

  • Previous experience in a teaching / learning environment would be advantageous
  • Liaising with multiple parties to support individual students learning goals
  • Leading students in the specialist unit
  • Supporting students with advice and guidance
  • Implement the schools behaviour code
  • Liaise with Senco, Learning Co-ordinators and other school leaders
  • Contribute to planning & development of school curric

Working week: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 4:30pm)

Wage: £3.70 per hour

Expected apprenticeship duration: 15 months
