Job Purpose:

This unique apprenticeship opportunity will be to provide business administration support to the business while also having an active part in supporting the businesses associated charity.

A local business with over 25 years of experience in the global energy industry. From Asia to Scandinavia, Australia to Europe. Providing services which include: Compensation and payment; Contracting and procurement; Dispute resolution; Planning, programming, and scheduling; Specialisations; Training and development

Main duties:

  • Providing office support including customer and employee support
  • Keeping well-organised files and records of business activity
  • Interacting with clients either on the phone or in person
  • Answering phones
  • Collecting and inputting company data
  • Learning about the company’s mission and available products/services
  • Educating clients about what products/services
  • Building relationships with clients
  • Preparing documents by printing, copying, and binding
  • Writing and editing company correspondence
  • Collecting and sorting post
  • Being ready for any other administrative tasks that are required
  • Involved in social media presence for the business

Additional roles supporting the associated charity will include:

  • Supporting retrial environment
  • Track sales to spot trends
  • Assisting in shop layout, product management
  • Stocktaking including e-commerce site

Working week: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Wage: £150 per week

Expected apprenticeship duration: 15 months

Essential Requirements

  • Approachable and friendly personality
  • Willing to work in a business oriented and friendly environment
  • IT literacy
  • Candidates must live in a sensible commutable distance of Darlington


  • Business administration experience
  • Retail experience
