A Local butchers are looking to recruit an apprentice butcher to join our friendly team. Our shop has a great community feel, it can be very busy at times and we have a fantastic customer base and pride ourselves on giving only the best customer service there is to all of our customers.

We prepare all our meats from the carcass and showcase them in our fantastic raw meats display. We also have a cooked meats, deli, pies and sandwiches counter. The pies are all homemade prepared in out bakery using all of our own meats prepared by our butchers.

The successful applicant will be trained, supported and mentored to the highest standard. We will train and share our experience and knowledge in all aspects of butchery, ranging from knife skills, different cuts of meats, preparing, boning, trimming, displaying, sausage, burger making and much more.

Customer service and people skills are absolutely paramount to our company ethos, we will teach and guide you on giving only the best advice and knowledge of products to our customers.

Other related tasks will include, keeping the shop/workplace clean and tidy, working as a team member, having a can do attitude, being keen and wanting to learn the butchery trade is an absolute must.

The position is open to all apprentice’s regardless of age and will be a fabulous opportunity for the right candidate with time and experience this will lead to full time permanent employment with us.

Wage: £5.50 per hour, increasing to £6 per week with time and experience.

Working Week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8 am – 5 pm, Saturday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (40 hours per week)

Expected apprenticeship duration: 13 months

Future Prospects: Full-time employment will be offered to the successful apprentice once the course has been completed.
