Brief overview of the role

A high-end specialist joinery manufacturer based in Newton Aycliffe is looking to take on a Business Administration Apprentice to support the recently expanded office operations. The ideal candidate will already have some administration experience, the job role will include:

Vacancy description

Main duties:

  • Providing office support including customer and employee support
  • Keeping well-organised files and records of business activity
  • Interacting with clients either on the phone or in person
  • Answering phones and call handling
  • Using Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Collecting and inputting company data
  • Learning about the company’s mission and available products/services
  • Building relationships with clients
  • Preparing documents by printing, copying, and binding
  • Writing and editing company correspondence
  • Supporting report and bid wririting teams with the creation of documents
  • Collecting and sorting post
  • Being ready for any other administrative tasks that are required

Working week: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Wage: £150 per week

Expected apprenticeship duration: 13 months

Essential requirements

  • Approachable and friendly personality
  • Previous business administration experience

Desirable

  • GCSE Maths and English C or above
  • Previous admin experience in manufacturing or associated industry
  • Business administration level 2 or equivalent qualification (not essential)

Future prospects

Future full-time employment is likely once you have completed the Apprenticeship
