Occupation: Retired Director & General Manager. Presently Business Coach and Mentor, Non-Executive Director, Volunteer with Princes Trust, Volunteer with Sported. Chairman of two charities and my local choir.

How many years have you been in business? 40+

What was your first job and how did it mould your future?
I was an apprentice fitter/machinist in Leeds and although I enjoyed the experience and it gave a great grounding I felt I wanted to be in management and stretch myself. I wanted to reach my potential.

What is your biggest achievement to date so far? My Daughter Kimberley

What is your role and purpose as an Optimum Skills Stakeholder member?
My role and purpose with Optimum skills is simple. To use my 40+ years of successful management and leadership to help the organisation reach its potential, succeed and grow.

What qualities and experience do you bring to Optimum Skills?
As I say I have over 40 years of experience in running successful businesses as well as many years in coaching and mentoring business owners to reach their potential.

The people in Optimum Skills.

What do you believe are the main challenges for Optimum Skills?
I believe the organisation has come through Covid in a good place and is poised for great things. The people in the organisation will deal with the challenges that come along as you grow and succeed.

Whatever you are, then be the best you can be.
