We are on to day two of a week in the life of an apprentice following our own office apprentice. Alanis previously attended our 14-week traineeship programme, then successfully applied for a role within Optimum Skills. On a Tuesday Alanis is responsible for putting the stationery order in for the whole office. Ensuring that enough paper, pens, and other stationery items are ordered, and chasing up members of staff with their requests.

Along with Claire and Richard, Alanis has been helping to audit the health and safety vetting’s. These must be carried out for all places of employment we place apprentices. Also training rooms, which Optimum Skills use for training courses.

Alanis will often help the Client Relationship Managers with general office duties. Today she has been assisting Tracey with some tasks to support the construction traineeships. Including creating PowerPoints and sorting through paperwork.
Alanis also collects all the office post. The post is sent out, with certain requirements, such as signed for and tracked. She takes the post across to our local post office.
