We are on to day five and the final day of ‘A Week in the Life of an Apprentice’, following our business admin apprentice Alanis. Today at Optimum Skills we are having a dress down and buffet day to raise money for Zoe’s Place in Middlesbrough. Alanis has been overseeing collecting everyone’s donations for the day and helping arrange the buffet.
Alanis often supports the Client Relationship and Lead Generator team with administrative tasks, today she has been typing up learner CV’s into the Optimum Skills template to be sent out to employers.
Alanis has also been tasked with making phone calls to past learners, checking how they have progressed in their employment and if they need any further support.

Alanis is part of the MIS team and this afternoon has been assisting in the process of sorting out paperwork, ready for next weeks courses and apprenticeship sign-ups.
That brings us to the end of this blog series looking into what a business admin apprenticeship might involve, thank you for reading and exploring the role of an apprentice. Alanis is doing really well in her role and we hope to see her progress in herself and within the team.
