On the 9th September a team of four people, Katrina Elliff, Chris Humble, Steve Kirsopp, and Mike James from Optimum Skills will be taking on the massive task of running 13 miles in the Great North Run. As a team, they will be running to raise money for Willow Burn Hospice based in County Durham. The hospice provides essential individual care from a fantastic team of nurses, social workers, therapists, and counsellors. However, 70% of the care is funded by donations from the public, to help with end of life care. Therefore, this vital funding that Optimum will be raising will go towards the amazing care that is provided year on year.
The team has been working hard training and we wish them all the best of luck in the race!
